Getting Error "The specified module could not be found." when trying to run the DLP Remote Indexers

Issue/Introduction

The DLP remote indexers throw the following error when running them in the command line:

Exception: Error calling LoadLibrary: The specified module could not be found.

(HRESULT: 0x7e)

 

 

Environment

Release : 15.8

Cause

The issue is caused by the fact that the location of the JRE has changed and the indexers can no longer find it.

Resolution

Open up the Configuration.txt file in each of the following folders and correct the jvmDirectory property to reflect the current path to the JRE. Your path will vary depending on installation location.

• driver_letter:\Program Files\Symantec\DataLossPrevention\Indexers\15.8.00000\Protect\config\RemoteIDMIndexerUI
• driver_letter:\Program Files\Symantec\DataLossPrevention\Indexers\15.8.00000\Protect\config\SQLPreindexer
