Issue/Introduction
Sometimes you find yourself in a position to have to restart the DCS Manager services. This document explains how to restart the services correctly
Environment
DCS 6.5+
Resolution
Navigate to the Windows services screen and select to start/stop/restart the services via the console window (run services.msc)
Services:
Symantec Data Center Security Server Manager
Symantec UMC Credential Service
Symantec UMC Telementry Service
If the DCS Manager and the SQL database reside on the same server it is recommended to set the DCS services to 'delayed start' to allow the database ample time to come online first.
