Generate and Build Error GNL1394

Issue/Introduction

Error "GNL1394 the file C:\MyModel\GEN\AAAZ.VIW could not be opened", occurs during the generate and build process.

 

Environment

Ca Plex version 7.x

Cause

This error occurs when the source (.VIW, .CPP, etc.) for an object cannot be found. The source may not exist for one of the following reasons: 1) the object was not chosen for generation, or 2) the object was chosen for generation, but the directory location for the source object does not exist.

Resolution

Choose 'Generate and Build Options' from the main generate and build window, then choose the 'Build Directories' option. Check that the path to the generated source directory is correct, then press the 'Apply Defaults' button to create the directory. If the directory does not exist, it will be created.

Navigate back to the main generate and build window generate the object again.
