Issue/Introduction
The VM release validation module requires updates to identify MONITOR
data generated by VM systems running z/VM Version 7 Release 3.
Without an update to recognize z/VM 7.3, if 7.3 data is encountered by
the DAY080 or INCR080 step, the step fails with a U0998 ABEND and the
following message is written to the DAY080 MICSLOG:
VMC00305E UNRECOGNIZED VM SYSTEM LEVEL: PRODUCT
BIT MAP = 7FFFFFFF80000000.
SYMPTOMS:
DAY080 or INCR080 fails with U0998 ABEND, and the DAY080 step MICSLOG
contains the VMC00305E error message.
IMPACT:
DAY080 or INCR080 fails with a U0998 ABEND.
