Issue/Introduction
This article will cover some basic areas that can be used to help troubleshoot the LUA, including collecting the LUA logs.
Resolution
When viewing the Agent Events in the Enforce Console, you should see the following...
This indicates the agent was successfully updated by LiveUpdate.
In the LUA Server there are a couple of important locations...
C:\ProgramData\Symantec\LiveUpdate Administrator\Downloads
This is the default download location for where we will store updates that are downloaded from Symantec onto the LUA Server.
Example Update File: 1585733387jtun_157000101003.zip
Example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\LiveUpdate Administrator\clu-prod
This is the default "Production" distribution center.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\LiveUpdate Administrator\clu-test
This is the default 'Test" distribution center.
**note that when "Distributing" updates, it is copying the files from the "Downloads" directory, into your "clu-prod" and "clu-test" directories as defined in your configurations.
When checking the status of your Scheduled Events use the "Activity Monitor"
LUA Console > Download & Distribute > Activity Monitor
This will quickly show you all of your scheduled events, and what their status was.
For more detailed logging use the "Event Log"
This will show you in a bit more details each of the actions taken and what their status was.
For actual Server Logs click on the "Troubleshoot" link in the yellow menu bar in the top right of the console.
This will download a full set of logs for you to review.
You will probably want to start with the "lua-application.log"
