Issue/Introduction

Running this install using ‘run as administrator’ option.

Install fails every time.

Check %temp% for logs which may not have written to logs folder:

C:\Users\USER-NAME\AppData\Local\Temp

We see this error:

CABI jaspersoft for windows 7.1.1

Cause

SOI CABI installs as the user running the install, and it run by the same user.

Due to this, CABI places some needed files in the user’s home directory:

These may include:

Hidden folder

 .jasperserver

Hidden files

 .jrsks

 .jrsksp

 .jslic

Regular file

Jasperserver.license

..

Resolution

There were jaspersoft files left in the user’s home directory, either from failed installs, or older installs that had been removed.

These may include:

Hidden folder

 .jasperserver

Hidden files

 .jrsks

 .jrsksp

 .jslic

Regular file

Jasperserver.license

** Delete all jaspersoft files from the user’s home directory and re-run the install

Additional Information

The jaspersoft error ErrorCode : 19033 is a generic error that is used when there is no specific code for the problem seen, and may be misleading.
