Issue/Introduction

I've applied the log4j patch on Windows Server 2019 but ran into the error;

as_copyinuse.exe - System Error
The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

I've installed the most recent Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable but the error still shows after patching. Is there something else that needs to be done for this patch to correct all old log4j files or is it an error caused by the missing .dll file?

 

How do I correct this issue?

Resolution

There was a problem with the as_copyinuse.exe being 32-bit and requireing Microsoft C++ 32-bit version.
To fix this issue please download and install the 12SP1 CUM3 patch

this will resolve the issue for you by replacing the
32-bit as_copyinuse.exe with a 64-bit version.
