Custom Jaspersoft Studio Reports Not Showing Fonts Correctly after Upgrade

Issue/Introduction

Custom Jaspersoft Studio Reports published on the JS Server are not displaying the fonts correctly. Fonts not fitting in the report (PDF print) fields. The issue was noticed after the upgrade of Clarity form 15.8 to Clarity 16.0.3 and Jaspersoft from 6.x to Jaspersoft 7.8.0_6.4.0.35.

While editing the report in JS Studio the fonts appear to fit in the fields, but after publishing the report to the JS Server the fonts are wrapping around and not visible in the reports.

 

Environment

Release : 16.0.3

Cause

Due to missing Font extension jar file

 

Resolution

Please add the "font extension" jar file for JRS 7.8
