Installation of Identity manager component on SiteMinder Policy server.

Issue/Introduction

We are in the process of installing Identity manager 14.4 component on SiteMinder Policy server.

We are installing Identity manager Administrator tool and Extension for SiteMinder.

Installation completed with error. 

 

                      Status: ERROR

                          Additional Notes: ERROR - Command failed: Installing Provisioning Manager

Resolution

On Webex we ran the installer, to install the policy server extensions.

This was completed without error.

When asked why we were installing the admin tools, there was no clear answer for this, support's assumption is that this is done to save a step of copying the schema extensions later.

The customer will try to uninstall and reinstall the admin tools, if this fails they will copy the files manually.
