Issue/Introduction

We are experiencing almost daily, in the morning hours, locks in the database, which are maintained over time and do not end.

 

Environment

Release : 8.6

Cause

In this case, the customer was originally using an older version of SQL server.

After upgrading to a newer version, the database locks continued. We traced the issue to SQL compatibility settings used.

Resolution

Changed the SQL compatibility mode to SQL Server 2019
