An imaging job is selected from the Initial Deployment menu on a machine that successfully boots to automation. When a job is selected, no task is received, no errors visible and only one machine seems to be affected. Other machines are running through the same process and task/job is received and completed successfully

In one instance of this behavior, the computer being imaged had a corrupt record in the Symantec Management Console. This caused the job to be sent but not to a valid record.


Deleting the computer record from the Symantec Management Console then rebooting the computer back in to automation resolved this issue. We don't normally recommend deleting machine records from the console to resolve problems. However, only one machine was affected and correcting the behavior with the existing record was not an option due to time constraints.
