Issue/Introduction

Management Center taking a long time when authenticating none "admin" user.  Authentication is fast when using "admin" credentials. 

Environment

   Management Center running supported version (3.3.x) with external authentication configured.

Cause

When logging in using none-admin credentials, Management Center (MC) will need to query each external authentication configured on the device itself.  If configured, MC would sequentially query external servers defined in Radius  LDAP and AD LDAP  twice (by default ) prior checking local authentication.     

When using "admin" credentials, MC would query the local  authentication immediately without reaching to any external authentication.   

Resolution

Revisit and edit (as needed) external authentication configured in Management Center or  disable any unused external authentication.  Save and Activate.
