Issue/Introduction

MTC-DBM UI logon fails with LOGIN.ERRORS.MESSAGE_HOLDER Failed executing the ESM Microservice HTTP POST-TOKEN request.

Environment

MTC-DBM Release : 20.0

Cause

Bad syntax and directory specifications in the ESMENV parameter file used by the ESM Micro Service STC.

 

 

Resolution

The ESM Micro Service STC never fully initialized due to bad syntax for several of the parameters in the ESMENV parm file.  In this particular case the JAVA_HOME,  PRODUCT_HOME,  IRRRacf_LOCATION,  ccsopjex_LOCATION parameters needed to be corrected.  Once valid syntax specifying the correct paths were supplied, the ESM STC started successfully, and the message: INFO com.ca.esm.EsmApplication – Started EsmApplication could be found in the ESM STC's STDOUT.
