Issue/Introduction

VNA not deleting properly after a failed install.

I am not able to Manually remove the Installation.

If I manually remove and try the install again it bypasses the install options and then the install fails.

When trying to install VNA it is detecting an existing installation despite prior attempts not being entirely successful.

install.sh: line 786: /opt/CA/MySql/bin/mysqladmin: No such file or directory

Users are unable to reinstall VNA.

Environment

All supported releases

Cause

The /etc/VNA.cfg and /etc/my.cnf files need to be removed as part of an uninstall

Resolution

Verify the following files are removed and try again:

  • /etc/VNA.cfg
  • /etc/my.cnf

Additional Information

Messages seen during the failed install:

ls: cannot access /opt/CA/VNA/wildfly: No such file or directory
grep: /opt/CA/VNA/wildfly/bin/standalone.conf: No such file or directory
install.sh: line 669: -1: substring expression < 0
install.sh: line 672: /opt/CA/VNA/install.history: No such file or directory
cat: /opt/CA/VNA/wildfly/bin/standalone.conf: No such file or directory
