Issue/Introduction

When profiling traffic for the SSL Visibility 3800B the question of how many TCP handshakes per second can the box negotiate.

Environment

Release : 4.5.8.1

Resolution

Per our sizing guide the SSLv 3800B can handle 8k TLS handshakes per second in a classic segment.  After that we cut through any additional hand shakes.  For TCP handshakes, the number is different.

On the 3800B,   215,000 TCP CPS is possible with an Active in Line segment and 239,000 in a Passive Inline +Copy port.  That 200K number is for non SSL, essentially a firewall cut rule, and just TCP handshake.
