Unable to set website application pool identity

Issue/Introduction

When installing Information Centric Analytics (ICA), the installation fails, logging an error indicating the RiskFabric website could not be found and the application pool identity could not be set:

Details: Keyset does not exist

Environment

Release : 6.x

Component : Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)

Cause

This occurs when the Service Account specified in the installer does not have read access to the iisWakKey keyset file located in the following folder:

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys

The iisWasKey file name is:

76944fb33636aeddb9590521c2e8815a_GUID

Resolution

Ensure the service account is a local administrator. In addition, ensure the username entered follows the NETBIOS syntax (not the fully qualified domain name or FQDN):

<Domain>\<Account>

For example: LocalCorp\JeffreySpaulding instead of LocalCorp.com\JeffreySpaulding
