Issue/Introduction

When profiling traffic for the SSL Visibility 3800B-20 the question of how many TCP handshakes per second can the box negotiate.

Environment

Release : 4.5.8.1

Resolution

Per our sizing guide the SSLv 3800B-20 can handle 14k TLS handshakes per second in a classic segment.  After that we cut through any additional hand shakes.  For TCP handshakes, the number is different.

On the 3800B-20,   500,000 TCP CPS is possible with an Active in Line segment and 510,000 in a Passive Inline +Copy port.  That 500K number is for non SSL, essentially a firewall cut rule, and just TCP handshake.
