Issue/Introduction

We are thinking of changing our services start up method from manual to automatic, is there any performance or anything else depending on how the services are started in a Windows environment

Environment

Release : 15.9.2

Resolution

There are no differences with performance or anything else depending on how the services are started in a Windows environment. Whether they are started, in the CSA, Windows GUI, or the command line via the start command, they all perform the same action.

If the services are set to start manually, when the server is restarted, the services will not start automatically. A server administrator will have to manually start the services. If the services are set to automatic, when the server is rebooted the services will automatically start with no intervention.
