Issue/Introduction

Memory utilization is not displayed in the Performance TAB for the Cisco ASA firewall.

Environment

Release : 22.2.x, 23.3.x

Resolution

Here are the steps to workaround the missing Memory Utilization for the Cisco ASA Firepower 4110 SM12:

1. Set the following values for the memory attributes (in the device's Attributes TAB):

• NRM_MemoryModelTypeToRead (0x12e35) = 0x21006c
• NRM_MemoryUtilNameAttr (0x12e3a) = 0x210a5d
• NRM_MemoryUsedAttr (0x12e37) = 0x210a60
• NRM_MemoryFreeAttr (0x12e38) = 0x210a61

2. Then reconfigure the model. Right-click on the device, select Reconfiguration --> Reconfigure Model

3. In the Thresholds and Watches subview, under Thresholds, the Memory source is Attribute Redirection.

4. Memory utilization is now visible in the Performance TAB:
