ACF2 - z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Running z/OSMF on z/OS 2.4.

Two users are defined with the same level of access, one gets access to all the z/OSMF icons on the main panel but the other does not.
Example :  the network configuration assistant icon is missing in one of the users.

There are no security violations and a SECTRACE also didn't show any violations.

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component: ACF2 for Z/OS

Cause

The z/OSMF desktop may not be built with all of the available apps. However, they may be present in another location.
The very first time that a user logs on to z/OSMF one may observe that some application 'icons' are missing.
This is not an issue of granting access authority to a user.
If the additional or missing apps are not added to the users desktop they would need to do that manually.

Resolution

To add additional z/OSMF apps, click on the App center icon in the lower left corner of the desktop:

Icons from the App center can be dragged out of the App center to the desktop.

This is not a case of authorizing (ACF2) applications on the Z/OSMF window.
