Install Policy manager without Admin Rights - portable

Issue/Introduction

Cannot install Policy Manager, which requires admin privileges, due to customer's GPO restrictions

Is there a way to install without requiring admin rights? Alternatively, is there some "portable" version of the Policy Manager?

 

Environment

Release : 10.1

Resolution

Not the PM needs the admin right but the installing. What might work is:

1. Have PM installed on a device, private or your working computer
2. ZIP the installed PM 10.1
3. Move the ZIP to the customer device with GPO restriction
4. unzip it - unzipping does not require admin rights, and PM is only using local path
5. use it.

We don't have a portable version.
