Issue/Introduction

We are at a DR site and have just restored DOSRES and SYSWK1. We executed our ASI proc to the point where is asks if we want to start CA products and we manually entered EXEC CAIRIM on the console so that we could put in the EKG code. However, CAIRIM instead issues the error message

CAS9199E -- VSE/SYSTEM ADAPTER SUBSYSTEM SUPPORT IS NOT ACTIVE.

What should we do?

Resolution

Before CAIRIM can execute, the CA System Adapter must initialize. So go ahead and allow CA products to initialize by executing CASAUTIL. Afterward, enter
// EXEC CAIRIM, PARM='EKGP'
The system will prompt the operator for the EKG key.
