Upgrade 15.7 to 15.8 the necessary steps need to take for custom data identifiers

Issue/Introduction

We are planning to upgrade from 15.7 mp2 to 15.8 . And in 15.8 there is few changes on data identifier. We are using "Irish Personal Public Service Number" on our policies. And it this we have done few customization as per our requirement.

Could you please let us know what we will have impact . Will it remove the customization for the Data Identifiers (DI's).

Below are some of the precautions to be taken for retaining custom data

• Please note all the existing or custom Data Identifier (DI) - regardless new or cloned would be migrated.

• However, the existing built-in DI's will overwritten on any new patch upgrade.

Precautions to be taken before upgrade on a customized environment. If you do not make a backup then you might loose those customizations for sure.

Make a copy of the existing environment custom data which are changed from built-in to ensure that customizations are retained after the upgrade.

Restore the custom data to update them back to environment specific after the patch upgrade
