Jaspersoft migration approach to a new application server with Clarity

Issue/Introduction

We have new different servers for Jaspersoft provided. Can we move the Jaspersoft install directory to the new server? Database will be the same

• Typically what we recommend with new OS/Server is do a new install with a new DB and move any custom content.
• If this is not easily possible another option is a new JS install & point to the existing db. Best is to install in a new schema and once up and ready, switch the schema name in the context.xml file.
• Moving directories should also work - but then IP and servername will be different, those will have to be corrected, also the environmental variables & license under the user that will own Jaspersoft and the permissions.
