Can CA 7 check for a Virtual Resource Manager (VRM) Address Space (ASX) resource on all LPARs in a SYSPLEX?
CA 7 is only able to check the LPAR where CA7ONL is executing for active or inactive ASX resources.
CA 7 provides the ability to define an ASX resource to job and will cause CA 7 to check to see if the defined resource is active or inactive prior to submitting a job. CA 7 can only check the local system that it is running on for active or inactive address spaces. Keep this in mind when defining ASX resources to jobs if CA 7 WA is moved from one system to another.
If the address space resource may be active on a different LPAR than the one CA7ONL is running on, use a CRQ type VRM resource and the PRSQA/PRSQD commands to activate and deactivate the resource.
