How to limit a User's History query Parameters

Issue/Introduction

Is there a way to limit a user from preforming a History Query that will pull too much data which can cause the RMI process to lock up and or Java Heap.

Release : 9.4.1

Component: CA Automic Applications Manager (AM)

Resolution

There is currently no way to stop a user from doing a unbounded filter when doing a History Query besides taking the "Explorer" User Authority Object away from the user's User Group.

Of course, this would mean that they would lose access to everything within Explorer as well such as the Backlog, History, etc.

The best way to counteract this at this time, is to make all Users aware of this and set guidelines follow such that they do not query too much data.
