Performance TAB not showing CPU and Memory for Cisco ASA 5545-X

Issue/Introduction

I am not getting CPU and Memory utilization in the Performance TAB for the Cisco ASA firewall:

Cisco ASA 5545-X

System Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1413

Environment

Release : 21.2

Cause

The Cisco ASA 5545-X is not certified in Spectrum yet.

Resolution

When you model a Cisco ASA 5545-X firewall you should have the following entries in the DX NetOps MOdeling Information subview:

• Model Type Name: GnSNMPDev
• Device Type: CiscoRT
• Model Class: Firewall
• System Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1413

This is because the device in question is not certified in Spectrum yet.

You can confirm that in the following URL: https://netops-certification.broadcom.com/vendors(default-header:vendors)

 

But to get around this you can perform a Self-Certification. Here are the steps:

1. Right-click on the device in question, and select Utilities --> Device Certification...

2. Ensure the System Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1413 is selected and then click on the Edit button.

3. Change as follows:

• Device Type Name: Cisco ASA 5545-X
• Model Type Name: CiscoASA
• Model Class: Firewall

4. Click on the Save button to save the changes.

5. Delete/Destroy the existing models (System Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1413)

6. Rediscover/remodel the Cisco ASA 5545-X devices.

7. Now the discovered Cisco ASA 5545-X devices have data in the Performance tab.
