Issue/Introduction

We configured OPSMVS time rule to run D R,R (known/familiar backlisted, ie like IDMS, netview WTOR), so we know the new system request(ie. outstanding replies pending) if any occurs via email. At this point, we made this timerule to run for 15mins.

Is there a way from OPSMVS to get notified as soon as we get an new system request ?

Resolution

This looks like one of the possible usages of the new "Default Automation for Critical System Messages"  new feature introduced by the PTF LU06695. With the new feature you can create a default message rule that will be triggered only if no other message rule took any actions against the message. The sample we provide will populate a RDF table but you can include any other actions you may think are appropriate. See the announcement in the link below:
