SRSJBIND receives a cond code 4 in the BIND

Issue/Introduction

Installed Smart/RRSAF Release 20.0. 

The HOLDDATA suggests DB2 binds to be run using program SRSJBIND

but this gets the following Error Messages:

DCA200.CKPT_SYNCH IS NOT DEFINED

 

 

Environment

Release : 20.0

Component : Smart/RRSAF

Resolution

SRSJBIND is required for Smart/RESTART only, and not Smart/RRSAF, 
and so the checkpoint dataset is required for Smart/RESTART only as well.

If only using Smart/RRSAF, there's no need to run SRSJBIND or 
define the Smart/RESTART checkpoint dataset. 

 

So when using Smart/RRSAF only:

1) There is no need to run SRSJBIND 
2) Define a Smart/RESTART checkpoint dataset
3) Create a Smart/RESTART DB2 synchronization table.
