How do I re-import a certificate on the CEM Cloud Gateway?

Issue/Introduction

Our certificate on the CEM gateway was generated incorrectly.  We have fixed the certificate and I need to re-import using an updated .pfx file.  When I try to import, it tells me that I can't import the certificate because it is already imported. Is there a way to remove that certificate so I can re-import the corrected version?

Environment

Release: 8.x

 

Cause

The error seen when importing the updated certificate was, "Certificate '<CERT Name.pfx>' already imported and is currently used.

When manually importing the updated certificate using MMC, we can see that the Certification Path was missing the expected path.

Further investigation showed that the intermediate certificate needed was missing.

Resolution

We downloaded imported the intermediate and trusted root certificates, and then we were able to import the gateway certificate successfully.
