Issue/Introduction

The client wishes to execute a mainframe service, via a robot triggered by the MULESOFT solution, on the distributed platform,

utilizing various userids.  Being so, he wishes to call an ACF2 API to perform a check of the userid before the robot is

started.  Is there in ACF2 an available API to be called via another API executing from the distributed platform?

Resolution

Applications running on a distributed platform can use either of the following options to call ACF2:

 

Applications, such as servers, can invoke the USS R_admin callable service (IRRSEQ00) running on z/OS to manage and retrieve ACF2 security

information.

 

Applications can make a LDAP call to the LDAP Server running on z/OS which provides an inbound Lightweight Directory Access Protocol

(LDAP) interface to ACF2 z/OS.  The LDAP Server running in z/OS provides an interface to the ACF2 and Top Secret security

databases using the ACF2 and Top Secret backend modules.
