Issue/Introduction

Post 16.0.3 upgrade when you export To Do Notes (large text field) into Excel, the notes field does not carry over the carriage returns as it used to.

Environment

Release : 16.0.3

Component : Clarity MUX UI Usability

Cause

Summary: Post upgrade to 16.0.3 RTF carriage return is no longer in the CSV export. The same problem is noticed for Investments and To Do modules.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Go to Studio > Objects > To Do object
2. At the Attributes tab, create a Rich Text Field (RTF) type attribute
3. Enable it for the Modern UX
4. Go to MUX>>To Dos>>Tasks and add Rich Text Field (RTF) type attribute to the grid view
5. Enter text into RTF field and press enter, repeat again
6. Export to CSV
5. Open using Excel the .CSV file generated
Expected results: The carriage returns are respected in CSV export
Actual results: The carriage returns are not respected in CSV export

Resolution

This issue DE66875 - Post upgrade to 16.0.3 RTF carriage return is no longer in the CSV export, required a code change and is fixed in 16.1.1.
