ESF054 CHKPTDS1 WARM START DENIED

Issue/Introduction

I am trying to start the Spool 14 for the first time and i am receiving the following error;

ESF054  CHKPTDS1 WARM START DENIED, INVALID CHECKPOINT RECORD        
ESF002  INITIALIZATION FAILED, CORRECT ABOVE PROBLEMS AND RESTART ESF

 

Environment

Release : 14.0

Component : Spool

Cause

Some parameters require a COLD start when changed:

BUFSIZE,  CHKPT,    MAXFSEQ,  NUMFQES,  
PGNLEN,   SID,      SPOOL,    SN.   

 

Resolution

In this particular case, the PGNLEN value had been changed from 20 to 16

PGNLEN=20  <--- 12.0
PGNLEN=16  <--- 14.0

Changing PGNLEN to 20 in the 14.0 parameter solved this problem
