Issue/Introduction

I have been asked by the customer to add ownership information in to the customer ids' directory entries.   Is there a VMSECURE command that I can use to add a line to an entry without going into XEDIT?

Resolution

The VMSECURE TAG command is the documented method for adding "documentation" type information to directory entries.

Use the VM:Secure TAG command to add 'organized' directory comments. This allows you to define comments by name and also what order the comments should be in when there is more than one comment line set up with the TAG command. This method works well for items such as the name of the person associated with the user ID, their phone number and address and the like, as you can define the comment tag or name up front. Then, you will have the same comment tag for all users that you set with those comment records.
