Changes to SAMT and TxxMSGL message have not taken effect

Issue/Introduction

I've made updates to the SAMT messages and done the TPXOPER RELOAD PANEL=TENMSGL command, but the changes have not taken effect.

How to get SAMT and TxxMSGL message changes to take effect?

Resolution

SAMT changes can be implemented without cycling TPX by using TPXOPER:

RELOAD SAMT=tablename 

Panel member TxxMSGL contains the one-line messages TPX displays.

• If you have these fixes applied to TPX 5.4, you can implement TxxMSGL changes with just the TPXOPER command RELOAD PANEL=TENMSGL without needing to cycle TPX:
  • RO86329 & RO86684 TITLE: TPX NEEDS TO BE RECYCLE TO ACTIVATE TENMSGL UPDATES
• Otherwise, you will need to cycle TPX to pick up changes to TxxMSGL.  This applies to the base TPX 5.4 and any earlier releases.
