Could not update view message when resizing per period columns in clarity common components

Issue/Introduction

Users who moved on to use the Modern UX common grid components, are consistently finding an error message "Could not update value" while resizing columns. When users hit the error message no further updates on the view is possible. 

Steps to Reproduce: 

1. Open staffing page or staffing module from a project
2. Configure the per period metrics to include more than one field
3. Drag the period label to a minimum value observe the "Could not update value" toaster message
4. Now make a change on the view.
   example: Unselecting "Role" save the view as any custom label
5. Navigate to another section or view and return back to the saved view
6. Observe the view and the Role field

Expected Results: 
The staff grid reverts back to the saved personalization

Actual Results:
The staff grid view saved does not hold the UI personalization

Cause

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in 16.1.1.

The error message will no longer be displayed, but the width will not be saved. This is not yet supported as these are virtual columns and are different from other attributes.

 

Workaround for other releases:

Reload the grid page when the "Could not update view" toaster message is displayed.
