"Unexpected cached data found" error on EdgeSWG while trying to join the domain

Issue/Introduction

Proxy is not able to successfully join the domain with following error - "Unexpected cached data found"

Cause

Unknown.

Resolution

1. Disable the Windows Domain Cache: Access the ProxySG CLI and execute the following commands:
   
   
   • ProxySG > enable
   • ProxySG # config t
   • ProxySG (config)# security windows-domains
   • ProxySG (config windows-domains) # no-cache enable
     
     
2.  Retry the Domain Join: Attempt to join the proxy to the domain again.
3. Reboot (If Necessary): If the domain join still fails, please reboot the ProxySG appliance to ensure all background services are completely cleared, and then try the rejoin process one more time.
