Unable to start the CA API Gateway Policy Manager from Windows command Line

Issue/Introduction

When the policy manager executable file is called from the Windows command line, you will see the following message "Unable to start the program; The system cannot find the path specified."

How to start the Gateway Policy Manager from the Windows command line?

Environment

Release : 10.1

Component : Policy Manager

Cause

The policy manager must be called from its own directory/folder. In the example shown above, it is called from the C drive instead of the policy manager folder.

Resolution

There are 2 ways to start the policy manager from the Windows command:

• In the command window, go to the policy manager install location and then run the executable file
  • 
• You can run the shortcut in the Start Menu from any location in the command window
  •
