Database Management for DB2 for z/OS - Utilities Suite

Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to display Database Management for DB2 for Z/OS Utilities with command -DIS UTIL (*) from the DB2 Command Processor?

Environment

Release: R20
Component: GEN

Resolution

By default -DIS UTIL (*) only shows IBM utilities. However, it is possible to display both IBM and Database Management for DB2 for Z/OS utilities with the same command.

The individual Global Profile Global Parameters screen includes option ‘Utilities Shown’ that can be set to either IBM or BOTH:

  • IBM (Default) Display only the IBM utilities.
  • BOTH Display both the IBM utilities and the Database Management for DB2 for Z/OS Utilities.

Follow these steps to update the profile:

  1. From the Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS Products Main Menu select option
  2. Select option 1 - Global Parameters
  3. Set option Utilities Shown to BOTH
  4. END (PF 3) to save profile.
