NIC Statistics for AIX Servers not Displaying Correctly

Issue/Introduction

On AIX servers which are monitoring NIC traffic, when we look at the outbound / inbound traffic metrics; the view just shows a steady increase, versus up and down as would be expected.

Resolution

This is a defect in how the traffic calculation is performed.

A hotfix build (CDM-7.21-HF4) is attached to this article which will resolve the issue.

The GA version of the fix is expected for released by the end of December 2024.
