PRD - error message - Try to refine your filter criteria to get maximum 50 records

Issue/Introduction

In Performance Report Designer I am an error message when creating a new filter : "Try to refine your filter criteria to get maximum 50 records"

 

What does this mean?

 

Environment

Release : 20.4

Component : OC - Performance Report Designer

Resolution

This message indicates that your current filter matches too many QoS entries - a maximum of 50 are allowed per filter due to concerns with performance and readability.

You need to add more filters and narrow down the number of results which will be returned (usually by filtering additionally on QoS names and/or Targets.)

Note: This error message does not clear itself until you click "Verify Filter" even if you have added more filters.  This is a known issue in OC 20.4 CU4 and prior; it will be resolved in an upcoming release (CU5 or CU6).
