Failed to re-open log file url_response.log 5 times. Logging is deactivated. Error: Permission denied

Issue/Introduction

We have de-activated and activated the url_response probe as per suggestion in the article. But after restarting the probe also the alarm is not clearing. But we could see the logs are getting updated in the url_response.log file. Could you provide a solution for this issue.

• Release: 20.4
• Component: UIM - URL_RESPONSE

Resolution

The probe may not be able to create .MET files in the robot's niscache folder where the probe is deployed. 

1. Confirm that the user configured in the url_response probe.cfg has full access/security/control rights.

2. Confirm that a FULL exception has been configured in your Anti-Virus/scanning for ALL Nimsoft programs/dirs/files.

3. Please apply this key via Raw Configure mode:

    a. Select Raw Configure-> <setup> section
    b. Add or set the value of-> flag_reverttoself option to yes
    c. Apply the change, then cold start (Deactivate, then Activate) the url_response probe.

This should allow the probe to roll over and re-open the log file to continue logging.
