How to install multiple versions of Gateway Policy Manager on Windows platforms?

Cause

Installing more than one version of the policy manager overwrites the Start Menu shortcuts on Windows platforms.

Resolution

  • The policy manager installation wizard has a step where it asks for the start menu folder. By default, it creates a folder as "Layer7 API Gateway Policy Manager".
  • If you are planning to install/use more than one version of the policy manager then it is suggested to give name to this folder with the version name on it.

  • As shown in the above screenshot, you can add the version number to the folder for maintaining more than one version of the policy manager
