Issue/Introduction

Would like to understand if Vision:Builder is compatible with passphrase support and what is the character limit.

Resolution

Vision Builder does not have an interface into RACF/Top Secret/ACF2 so it does not require PassPhrase support.

However, Vision Builder does have a PASSWORD security field (8 bytes) that is used to protect database information internally to program functions. (Vision Builder programs)

This is documented in the Vision Builder ASL Reference Guide in Appendix D-26. 

The field is defined in the Vision Builder Specifications Guide Chapter 2-201.

The Vision Builder Workbench for ISPF component does not utilize any security interfaces.
