Issue/Introduction

When implementing the CA 7 Rest API, is CA 7 external security required?

Resolution

When implementing the CA 7 Rest API, CA 7 external security for LOGON and COMMANDS are required. Both values are required on the EXTERNAL keyword for the SECURITY statement in the CA 7 initialization file (init deck). Security calls are made to ensure the caller has access to the resource defined for each endpoint.
