You're attempting to install the Symantec Management Agent on your Linux server and receiving an error when trying to do so. Viewing the error.log file shows the following:
504 Gateway Timeout: remote server did not respond to the proxy
ITMS 8.6
Proxy server is blocking communication
During the troubleshooting of this problem you may be able to successfully ping the Symantec Management Platform (SMP) server. However, running the command wget http://FQDN of SMP Server Here on the SMP Server is proven to fail with the same error from the error.log seen above:
504 Gateway Timeout: remote server did not respond to the proxy.
When that error is returned it's likely that a proxy server is not configured properly and you will need to consult with your network administrators to resolve the issue.
