VIP Enterprise Gateway Validation Server Logs Not Sending to Remote Syslog Server on Linux server

Issue/Introduction

After configuring syslog on the VIP Enterprise Gateway, Radius Validation Server logs are not being sent to the syslog remote server. 

Resolution

Check if the Linux VIP Enterprise Gateway server is using DNS. If not, add an entry for itself to the /etc/hosts file on the server to allow a socket to be opened to the syslog server.
