Seeing Ambiguous - Special Use in the accesslogs for the GeoLocation logging

Environment

Explicit Proxy

Cause

In an explicit deployment you will see "Ambiguous - Special Use" sometimes because CONNECT requests count as their own transaction in policy and in the logs

Resolution

Since the CONNECT request is a request for the ProxySG, and not the content server, the supplier IP will be that of the ProxySG. The supplier country for a private IP address is "Ambiguous - Special Use".
