"Ambiguous - Special Use" country in logs

Issue/Introduction

Seeing Ambiguous - Special Use in the accesslogs field for GeoLocation when the expectation would be to see a country listed.

Environment

Explicit Proxy

Cause

In an explicit deployment you will see "Ambiguous - Special Use" sometimes because CONNECT requests count as their own transaction in policy and in the logs

Resolution

Since the CONNECT request is a request for the Proxy and not the origin content server, the supplier IP will be that of the ProxySG. The supplier country for a private IP address is then shown as "Ambiguous - Special Use".
