Resolution

Under most circumstances, the BATCHIN data sets for the Batch Terminal Interface (BTI) does not need to have more than 5 tracks allocated, but the BATCHOUT data set may have to be enlarged to hold the output from a global RESOLV command or generic database listings. If you need to enlarge the size of a batch terminal data set, allocate the file the size needed with a .NEW on the end of the data set name (be sure to use the same DCB attributes for the file as the current allocation). Shutdown CA 7 and change the name of the current batch terminal file using .OLD as the suffix, take the .NEW off the newly allocated larger file and then start CA 7.

The sample allocation can be found in hlq.JCLLIB(CA07N010) in the DDBATCHO dd.  The space allocation must be contiguous.
