Can all LPARs in a PLEX be converted separately during SSM Conversion

I am also seeking to know if we have an 8 LPAR Plex, could we upgrade to 14.0 and SSMGAv2 on half the plex, while the other half is at 13.5 with the base SSM ?  

While doing a rolling IPL with an upgrade, can we stage all the changes required for getting to SSMGAv2 on the first system, while the other 7 are still at release 13.5 base SSM ?  And then continue doing these steps until all 8 LPARs within the same Plex are at release 14.0 SSMGAv2.

As for converting each LPAR on a step basis, the answer is, it depends.   If you have multiple SSMPlexes within the SYSPLEX, then you can upgrade one SSMPlex at a time, and have mixed SSMPlexes.  However, every SSM within the SSMPLEX must be converted at the same time.  Therefore if all 8 LPARS are in the same SSMPlex, then they will all need to be done at the same time.
